At Art Cansel Gallery, we exhibit all local artists’ works, including high quality Giclée prints and canvas prints, original fine art paintings, sculptures, mixed media, as well as some metal works. We stand behind the work we do. Our mandate is to protect and preserve your art, as well as enhance its aesthetic qualities to suit your personal preferences and style. Showcasing Newfoundland Artists
When you walk into our gallery, you are immediately taken over by local talent. We have many gorgeous pieces by Adam Young of Young Studios on Fogo Island. His pieces can be identified by his whimsical shapes and colors, and his unique take on typical Newfoundland art.
You will also see a gorgeous display by local artist Rosemary Byrne. She is proudly the “Originator” in Newfoundland for the products used to create her Ocean Notions. Her pieces boast Newfoundland history and folklore. She is best known for her gorgeous Fishermen and Mummers, as well as her infamous Fairies and Sirens. She also has a wide variety of original paintings in the gallery. Colourful and creative poppies, and sunflowers, with textures and finishes that are beyond stunning, especially when seen in person.
You will also see some very unique metal pieces by local talent Chris Lemaire. His pieces are welded out of galvanized steel, which he then layers to create an amazing almost 3D effect. They glisten beautifully in different lighting, and would make an awesome conversation piece in your home!
